About the Program

Earth Day and Green Sanctuary Initiative: Carlo Piech will provide a summary on the goals of the Green Sanctuary, discuss how this project embodies the intersection of environmentalism and spirituality and make the case for why it is appropriate for UUEA to be doing this. Clara Wroblewski will reflect upon the therapeutic benefits of the natural environment for people with autism. We will include some reflections by Teri Mahar on how her personal feelings and experiences are reflected in this project. Lastly, Bob Colligan will discuss how planting native plants aligns with our inner connectivity to all living things, why native flora is important for biodiversity and how our vision for the Green Sanctuary can become a model for the community. Bob and Carlo will also be available to discuss the project in detail during the after-service discussion.
